Customer Verification
The Company follows “Know Your Customer” principles to help prevent financial crime and money laundering by identifying customers and carrying out due diligence.
At any point, Golden Roo may request whatever KYC documents it considers necessary to establish a golden-roo.net user’s identity and location. We may restrict access to the Service, payments, or withdrawals until identity has been adequately verified, or for another reason determined at our sole discretion within the applicable legal framework.
Our approach is based on risk and includes thorough due diligence and continuous monitoring of all clients, customers, and transactions. In accordance with money laundering regulations, we apply three levels of checks according to the risk involved, the transaction, and the type of customer:
- SDD — Simplified Due Diligence: applied to transactions presenting an extremely low risk that fall below the required thresholds.
- CDD — Customer Due Diligence: the standard level of checks used in most identification and verification cases.
- EDD — Enhanced Due Diligence: applied to high-risk customers, large transactions, or special circumstances.
When Full KYC Is Required
Independently of, and in addition to, the checks described above, a user must complete the full KYC procedure if any of the following occurs:
- Their combined lifetime deposits exceed EUR 5,000.
- They request a withdrawal of any amount.
- They attempt or complete a transaction considered suspicious.
As part of this procedure, the user must enter basic personal information and upload:
- A copy of a government-issued photographic identity document. Depending on the document, copies of both sides may be required.
- A selfie showing the user holding that identity document.
- A bank statement or utility bill.
